Teaching my first chocolate workshop!
hi there
I’m Miranda, but you can call me Mira!
I’m a San Francisco-based Product Designer with over a decade of experience where I specialize in bringing emerging technologies to a wider audience. My design journey began in the video game industry, where I worked on mobile, VR, and desktop games. Sadly, the last game studio I was at shutdown. R.I.P. NCSOFT Irontiger, they were such a great group of devs and after 8+ years, my time in the game industry came to a close.
In 2019, I began working in the drone industry as a Product Designer at Skydio…because flying robots are fun and this was probably the closest I’d ever get to fulfilling a childhood dream of being a pilot. I had really, really, terrible eyesight as a kid so the idea of being a Thunderbird pilot died real-quick, real- young. Thank goodness for Lasik these days, absolute life changer.
I’m passionate about designing forward-thinking products that make a positive impact on users and their communities. Whether it’s crafting intuitive interfaces or solving complex design challenges between hardware and software, my goal is to create meaningful experiences that build trust between people and technology.
Outside of work, I’m either training BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) or creating cute video game inspired confections and chocolates. Check them out on my IG @oneupchocolates.
Fun Facts:
I’m a professionally trained Pastry Chef.
Watermelons are my favorite fruit…seriously could eat them all day long.
I have terrible allergies, as much as I love nature, it really doesn’t love me back.
